U18 Boys Team

The Victoria Highlanders are pleased to announce the addition of an under-18 Boys program for the summer of 2010. This program will operate as the Highlanders FC 3rd team under the Senior Men’s team which plays in the USL’s Premier Development League, and the Reserve team, which plays in the Pacific Coast Soccer League’s Premier Division.

The team will train 2x weekly and play in a series of competitive exhibition matches on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland during the spring and summer. This program will be linked to the Highlanders FC Reserve team with players being provided the opportunity to train and play in the reserve program when appropriate.

The Highlanders FC u18 team will be coached by Highlanders FC Staff Coach Dave Ravenhill, with assistance from Highlanders 1st Team Assistant/ Reserve Team coach Steve Simonson and other Highlanders FC Senior Staff Coaches.

Highly motivated and dedicated players are invited to attend a series of open trials for selection to this squad. The trial dates will be set for late march / early april. Trial dates will be listed on website and registered players will be contacted when the final dates are confirmed. The program will operate from early April until mid July.

$595.00 plus GST– Includes Program Fee and all kit costs (participants will be responsible for any costs associate with travel)

Program Focus:

Scout/Develop/Evaluate players under the age of 18 for potential inclusion in Highlanders Senior programming
Expose players to the same training methods as the Highlanders FC PDL and Reserve team squads
Provide competition opportunities in which to evaluate players
