The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence opened to the public in September 2008. Located beside Camosun College on Interurban Road, PISE offers membership and programs for the community. We specialize in sport specific training and helping individuals reach excellence in all that they do. PISE is a unique and holistic sport development model fuels Canada’s sport performance, build a healthier nation and develop role models to inspire physical literacy. An international forerunner bringing sport education and athlete development under one ‘roof’, PISE incorporates sport science, sport technology and innovation, and sport and wellness research. A partnership initiative of Camosun College, Canadian Sport Centre Pacific and PacificSport Victoria, the Institute is a visionary nexus of educational programming in sport leadership, coaching science, athlete and coach development and wellness; sport medicine and sport science expertise; and sport facilities within a single centre helping Canada take its rightful place in sport. |
