A mainstay of our youth programming has been our Academy training. This has been once per week training for Club registered players from BCSPL, VIPL, Gold, and Silver. The key to the program is that these players are 'like-minded' which indicates that they are looking for additional high performance training.
Academy is an open program. We have found that many top Prospects have come from not only the BCSPL and VIPL level environments but from every level of soccer top to bottom. Players have many reasons to play at the level they currently reside, however within the Academy their goal is to receive high level instruction and to be in an environment which challenges them in every session. Unfortunately there may be cases where a player developmentally may not be at the level to train with their age group. At this point we will discuss this with the family and a decision will be made to either move to an appropriate age group or we can recommend an alternate training environment which can provide the appropriate training. The Highlanders Academy in 2013 and 2014 will occur on Sunday afternoon and evenings at Hampton Park (George Kulai Field). The Academy will be run in one phase of 24 weeks.
Participants will register for the complete 24 training sessions. A prorated fee will only be considered after the first six session. The Fee in 2013 is $650.00 +GST. Payment can now be made online with credit card. Contact the club if alternate payment schedule (installments) is required.

SPRING ACADEMY TEAM PROGRAM
Our Spring Academy Team spring program was a massive success in 2013 and we will continue to offer this program in the spring of 2014. Again, this will be a competitive-developmental segment where players will train twice per week in age group Academy Teams in order to play a number of exhibition games and attend summer tournaments (to be determined). *Summer Tournaments will include additional costs to the participants.
